The Tides: the New Face of Vistula River Architecture
New Architecture on the banks of the Vistula River
Located in the heart of Warsaw, on Wioślarska Street, The Tides building transforms the city’s waterfront by harmoniously combining the dynamism of the river with the urban landscape.
The Tides, winner of the 2017 Property Design Awards in the Body – Office Building category, offers more than 13,000 square meters of high-end office space, 10 luxury apartments and attractions such as restaurants and bars. In addition, the complex is equipped with boat storage, conference rooms and state-of-the-art gyms. Thanks to its location, the building enjoys views of the lush green banks of the Vistula River and the National Stadium.
Warsaw Rowing Society – Tradition and Modernity
The Warsaw Rowing Society, with more than a century of tradition, is located adjacent to The Tides. Its history, as the oldest sports society in Poland, is deeply connected with the defense of Warsaw. Now modernized and expanded, the WTW building offers additional office and residential space while preserving its sports heritage.
Unique Design Solutions
The Tides stands out thanks to its dynamic façade, which not only protects against noise from the Wislostrada River, but also creates a unique visual experience that mimics rippling water. This combination of 3D technology and innovative design makes the building fit perfectly into the Vistula River landscape. The WTW building, on the other hand, with its lower, more subdued massing and glass-enclosed annex with a training pool, provides excellent conditions for rowing training, and its architecture allows direct contact with the river.
Vision for Integrated Urban Space
Developments such as The Tides and WTW not only offer modern amenities to residents and employees, but also contribute to the revitalization of Warsaw’s waterfront. Their location at a strategic point in the city, in the vicinity of significant cultural and sports venues, makes this place a unique spot on the map of Warsaw. Modern architecture and thoughtful urban planning foster social and cultural integration, while emphasizing the district’s Vistula River character.
The Tides and the Warsaw Rowing Society represent a modern Warsaw that values both history and innovation. These architectural gems, located in a picturesque area of the Vistula River, are excellent examples of how modern construction can transform urban space, making it attractive not only to tourists, but also to city residents.
