Extravagant and extraordinary – these are the words that come to mind when you see this extraordinary apartment located in one of the most beautiful Warsaw investments – Kamienica „Pod Sowami”, situated in the heart of Stara Praga, an extremely dynamically developing area, only 600 m from the pedestrian and bicycle bridge connecting Praga with the Vistula Boulevards. Now you can own it. I invite you to familiarize yourself with the offer.
APARTMENT
The apartment with an area of 95.03 m2 consists of:
– living room with kitchenette (approx. 26 m2),
– master bedroom (12.43 m2),
– 2 rooms (10.21 m2 and 12.23 m2),
– bathroom with bathtub (6.15 m2),
– bathroom with shower (3.68 m2),
– corridor (22.32 m2),
– balcony (1.48 m2).
The apartment is distinguished by its unusual layout of rooms – from the living room you go down the stairs to the level where the other rooms, bathrooms and balcony are located, which creates a natural division into the day part and the night-private part. The height of the apartment is also exceptional – the living room is 3.2 m, while in the lowered part it is 3.75 m.
The property has been finished with due care. High-quality and often rare materials have been used, including:
– most of the lamps are antiques, one of them was brought from Egypt,
– the wallpaper in the living room is made of high-quality, pleasant material and is a unique addition,
– Versace marble coffee tables,
– custom-made bed (dimensions 180×200 cm),
– custom-made kitchen, sintered countertop,
– Italian tiles in the bathrooms, 24k gold-plated taps,
– carpet in the corridor from 2023, practically new and unused.
The building has an external elevator that reaches the mezzanines.
BUILDING
The „Pod Sowami” tenement house owes its name to the sculptures of owls with spread wings that decorate the top of the façade. On the elevation, which still bears traces of its former glory, you can also see bas-reliefs of bats and dragons. The tenement house was built in 1906, most likely by architects H. Stifelman and S. Weiss at the request of Prince Bronisław Massalski, a high-ranking official of the Russian Empire’s railways. In 2018, the building underwent a thorough renovation carried out by the Fenix Group company, which restored the tenement house to its former glory. The tenement house is entered in the register of historical monuments and is an important element on the map of Prague.
